I like this episode. It gets more in depth of Kikyo and Inuyasha’s relationship. I like the style it was shown in too. Kikyo is amazing, it’s so sad that she’s actually gone. If i were inuyasha, i would have gone with Kikyo too. (reffering to the episode Return to the Place Were We First Met.)

Personally, I dont like Kagome or Kikyo.But after seeing this episode, I really think InuYasha should go to Kikyo. After all, she was his first love. This episode is so sad. InuYasha is so sweet.

Shes alot like kagome i mean when kagome gets all serious but she has a mysterious thing about her that kind of draws you to her. But kagome is the fun type that makes you want to talk to her. I can see y inuyasha loved her. But i would still want inuyasha to choose kagome because there are so many great traits about here she has the thing that just keeps you captivated by her. u can see that the producers tryed and suceeded when they made this anime.

honestly, im fine with both, but kikyo looks alot cooler…and kagome(in my opinion)is meant for inuyasha. and i’m meant for sesshoumaru(in my own little world)but in the inu world,rin and sesshy are soul mates….when she gets older ofcourse

Regardless of the “who’s better for who” speculation, just consider the facts. Kikyo is dead. Even when she was walking around searching for Naraku, she was dead. She’s made of bones and graveyard soil. Not typically wife material. Inuyasha continues to say he’ll protect Kikyo, but when Naraku is gone, then what? Her existence only serves a purpose so long as Naraku lives. After that, she should perish and leave the living in peace.

true… but Inu Yasha would never let Kikyo go back to hell. And plus… just imagine a world without kikyo… she keeps things interesting. Or else Inu Yasha and Kagome would be love birds and probably ever few secs they would start pashing. Seriously, who would like that? their will be no serious fighting and so on. Plus kikyo keeps it interesting, without her, see’ing Kagome and Inu Yasha together every1 time might make u wanna throw up. Most must disagree with me cause of ur long held beliefs about Inu Yasha and Kagome so I dont mind. Go and ahead and wail on me if you want like what you did with PRINCESS. She/he must be pretty intelegient to work out that their isnt a real point for the pairings. Its naraku, the antagonists that is the main story, and Inu Yasha/Kikyo’s revenge + sango/miroku’s revenge. Kagome is just their cause to make the story more smooth and to replace the teams only missing power, which is a miko’s. Kikyo isnt spending time with Inu Yasha because she doesnt want to become any weaker because from her lingering fealings for Inu Yasha so thats why she’s always trying to avoid him.

I admit - agree with RAONNI and the others that want to understand, without Kikyo, the story wouldn’t be as fun and entertaining as this…
-There will be no one that messed up Inuyasha and Kagome’s feelings.
-Naraku wouldn’t have the Shikon Jewel and the group will never go anywhere.
-Kagome will never understand her feelings (love) for Inuyasha.
-Inuyasha wouldn’t have the guts to search for Shikon Jewel and he wouldn’t need to confused coz he must choose one of the girls - Kikyo or Kagome.
-Naraku will easily rule the world coz he didn’t have any feelings for Kikyo – but he had, and that’s what made him hard to nasty to humans…
SOOO that’s why…

i like this episode. as people have pointed out, it explains a little more about the tragic love story of inuyasha and kikyo. but it also lets you better understand the sadness and bitterness kikyo feels. how would you feel if you had to be different from everyone else? if you couldn’t be normal even if you wanted to? how you couldn’t fall in love, and how you could trust no one. and how would you feel if just when you let down your guard, you are supposedly betrayed by the only one you thought you could trust? its just so tragic. classic forbidden love. and those of you who are angry at inuyasha for not being able to fall in love like snap? think about it. he is cautious, because the last time he fell in love his heart was broken. not only that, but can you blame him for still being a little in love with kikyo? poor guy. in love with two different people, unable to let go of either. i used to be totally anti kikyo-inuyasha. but this episode puts a different light on the matter. so please just think about this.

Wow. This is so stupid with everyone saying Kikyo is a bitch and stuff, sure she was mean to Kagome, but really now, she’s a fictional character. I don’t really care for her myself, but she is an important part of the show. And it is obvious that it will be Inuyasha and Kagome because the last 2 episodes give it away >.> and E, Kagome isn’t whiney, you are. It makes me sick to see people like PRINCESS and other people hide behind a computer monotor and say crap about characters and other people. This episode is here because its like a break from the actual plot to explain about another part of the plot, like how Kikyo all of a sudden appeared in the show. Really, most of you idiots need to grow up. Just watch the show and no bodies gonna die.

This is crazy. Kagome is Kikyo’s reincarnation. Therefore,they are two interpretations of the same soul. Inuyasha loved Kikyo with all his heart and soul. Kagome IS Kikyo,no matter how much she says otherwise,but with a few key differences. So why wouldn’t he love Kagome? They.are.the. same. soul. All this tri crap and I hate Kikyo mess is stupid. If there was no Kikyo,Kagome wouldn’t exist. The only reason Inuyasha is torn is because his love for ORIGINAL Kikyo and her personality/ways is stronger than his love for her reincarnation Kagome and her different personality. That is why she inspires so much hatred. No matter what she does,Inuyasha loves and upholds her. With no encouragement from Kikyo,he will chase after her.There is something about Kikyo that Inuyasha just doesn’t or feels as deeply with Kagome. Kagome loves him and doesn;t make the mistakes Kikyo did because the purpose of reincarnation is to lift the soul higher. Plus,she has the benefit of hindsight. It has nothing to do with Kagome’s love being purer or any such crap. She’s Kikyo,just with a more emotional aspect to her,an ability to freely show her feelings and trust them. It makes sense that Inuyasha would love Kagome,she’s the reincarnation of the woman he loves so deeply. He said before,he loves her spirit,not it’s appearance. Therefore,he loves the SOUL,which originally belonged to Kikyo,contained within the body. That should make Kagome feel awful,because he isn’t seeing HER and her own uniqueness,he’s seeing the soul she carries aka Kikyo.He will always love original Kikyo more.I don’t understand why Kagome fans get so upset when the manga clearly states that the love and bond between Kik/Inu can never be broken,not even by Kagome. Kagome herself has acknowledged that she can never break their love.The only reason Kagome gets Inuyasha is because Kikyo dies. If she had been resurrected as a living woman with her own soul back,but not killing Kagome,the choice would have been clear. Kagome would have lost.
How people can say that she didn’t love Inuyasha is beyond me. Kikyo could have killed him,but she made him sleep instead. Even after what she thought was a betrayal that cost her her life,she still couldn’t kill him. She used beloved as her word and then couldn’t bring herself to control Inuyasha like that. Her love for him was so strong that it survived death and came back in Kagome.
Kagome and Inuyasha love one another. But their love isn’t as powerful as the original one that existed between Kikyo and Inuyasha.
