honestly, I think it’s a shame that Kikyo died and her and InuYasha basically got their hearts snapped in two. Of corse I wish that Onigumo was never born and all of my favorite characters lead perfectly happy lives, but then it wouldn’t exactly be a very good story, now would it? It all adds up to Kikyo’s dead, and Kagome isn’t. Kikyo’s very cool, and I kinda wish Kaogme was a little more mellow like her, instead of always being so peppy and loud. (also, she says inuyasha’s name waaay too often for it not to be ridiculous)
I think Kikyo should die an honerable death, allow InuYasha to say his parting words and mourn her, and then, idk, marry Kagome or something. Anything but make him human. That would really suck. Half-deamons rule!

Without kikyo no kogome inuyasha would have never met her and the tragic love story wouldn’t be there and there wouldn’t be and inuyasha story. Same goes with kagome If there wasn’t her then kikyo would still be dead and inuyasha would still be bownd to tree and no jewl.
So All Of Ya’ll Need To Get It Strait Before Ya’ll Say anything. If Ya’ll Don’t Like It Then Try To Make New Inuyasha Story It Won’t Even Get Ten Readers.

Kagome is Kikyo!! But i still think Kagome and Inuyasha belong together, but i guess thats not fair seeing as naraku killed kikyo. But kikyo should have accepted hm for who he is and not try to make him become human. Plus its her fault she died because she was the one who took care of onigumo(naraku). Although getting into this conversation is getting tiring this subject always gets brought up in nearly every ep. But if you think about it there would be no INUYASHA eps if they lived happily at the beginning of the story then there would be no story so kikyo died to make the story interesting.

I like Kagome the most out of the two of them but you have to reason with Kikyo. She dies hating and loving Inuyasha but then when she finds out it was Naraku to blame…… You have to understand Kikyo not to hate her. She even protects Inuyasha from a witch in episode 61 or 62. Ya she can be a bitch but you need to know the reasons behing the bitchyness. Both Kagome and Kikyo are really good characters in the anime though Kagome can be a bitch and annoying somtimes while Kikyo can be a bitch and cruel.

Okay can we discuss something relevant to the episode? what I dont understand is why Kagome doesn’t bring more modern technology to aid in the fight. She always brings “ninja food” and the likes.. but she needs to bring a crossbow capable of shooting like 4 arrows at a time… that would make her sacred arrows more effective. Granted she is only 15/16 so she cant buy it but her mom can buy it for her.

Goodness, you haters are absolutely senseless. If you like Kikyo, you like Kagome, if you like Kagome, you like Kikyo! SAME PERSON and without Kikyo’s death Kagome would never BE! Fate is fate. Kikyo’s life is over and will forever remain that way, but Kagome is a part of Kikyo and vice versa, so either way, Inuyasha IS with Kikyo! If he chooses Kagome, then he’s with Kikyo! He’s fucking up his second chance. He can’t be with the dead walking corpse there, yet fate reincarnated Kikyo, and shit, he needs to just take advantage of that blessing.
I have mixed feelings for Kikyo myself - she’s a mellow character, but she’s selfish - she should let Inuyasha be happy, not troubled. Not only that, but she doesn’t show too many emotions. Characters like that get a little boring. Kagome relates to a real person, which is why I choose her over Kikyo character-wise. I like characters who relate to reality…personality-wise, and not mary sue.

i agree with jazzy b real. and for all y’all who think kikyo shot the arrow, well, it could’ve been any priestess or priest out there with some spiritual power! i do believe kikyo will come back, but if this is her or not it remains to be seen. look, i used to be a kikyo hater too but after i saw “the tragic love song” ep. i finally understood what made kikyo so bitterish. now, though i still like kagome better, i see that they both have their faults.

at first i thought kikyo’s kinda bad person but because of the last episode my opinion about her has really changed…i even like her now. Kagome i do like too, i did it since the beginning but just because shes a good person and kikyo’s too a good person…because if she attended too kill inuyasha she have had do it because she shoot the seel or soularrow or how the name of this arrow was…she after all loves him and i think its ok to fight for him even if shes dead…okay shes not alive and its a sad story for both of them but nows kagome the one whos alive and shes now a part of inuyashas live but if kikyo would be alive i would be on her side because they loved and still love each other so deeply and inuyasha even confessed to her! thats totally not inuyasha but thats real love….

The holy one is Kikiyo. I’m sorry for all of those who wish her dead, but she doesn’t die till much later. After Naraku does. She travels for quite along time with sango’s brother if I’m not mistaken. the masa didn’t kill her and she’s still an active part of the series. I wonder why Inuyasha didn’t catch her scent.

Inuyasha’s love for Kagome is strongest and based on more solid ground. It grows in each episode. She makes him a stronger better person. Only thing standing in their way is the fact that they don’t even belong to the same time period. It’s a good thing that they cannot kill Naraku because they get to spend more time together without worrying about which time period they would be together in.

*sigh* it seems some people just don’t get it……
ok at first, when she tried to pull InuYasha into hell and kill him, i thought Kikyo sucked and i agreed with a lot of you guys. But by the time I finished the series…… Kikyo wasn’t all “i have to kill InuYasha!” anymore… she was mellow. She wasn’t all that bad in the end.
Anyway I’m just trying to say that its pointless to fight over who’s better because they are pretty much equal. Kagome is awesome and finding the sacred jewel shards with InuYasha. They are falling for eachother…. but of course the memory of Kikyo will never fade away. Kikyo is no longer fighting for him…… I acually don’t think she really cares about him like she used to….. but maybe thats just because she’s a wandering soul in the land of the living.

I hate Kikiyo. Why does she have to come back to life AGAIN? She ALWAYS gets into Inuyasha and Kagome’s way. They should be together and Kikiyo should be dead forever!!!

I hate Kikyo, I think Kagome is good for Inuyasha,
I mean Kikyo & Inuyasha loved once, but that is the past, Now i think Inuyasha should move on and be with Kagome, and to be honest, If Kikyo really loved inuyasha why is she hiding from him? I think Kagome & Inuyasha should be together, Kagome is sweet and caring and a very nice person, Kikyo, She is nice but she died and i think she should stay dead because Inuyasha & Kikyo aren’t no more, because she is Undead and He is Alive, They can’t be meant to be in this siutation. But Kagome + Inuyasha Forever.
Sorry to all the Kikyo fans, but she sucks, thats it. I hate her. She gets in the middle of everything and that is pretty annoying to see.

No Actually, i change my mind, But you know, Kikyo is selfish and i am not really a big fan of her. Kagome she is the brand new Kikyo and the Future Kikyo, I mean there both the same, but different personalitys, Kikyo’s personality it seems really boring and Kagome can be annoying, but she is like exciting and like a real person’s personality an i like that about her more than kikyo, but you know Kikyo is dead, and you can’t revive her, yah she has a body but she is still dead. But either way Inuyasha is going to be with Kagome/Kikyo, because there both the same person so, he ends up with both of them.
But Inuyasha + Kagome.

I love how you guys fight over who is better
its an anime, which i enjoy watching
and every character has their purpose in it
and its purpose to entertain us, the viewers.
so i believe kikyo’s purpose is to create tension and drama between inuyasha and kagome. and one of the former comments made actual sense to me. the one where he/she said that kagome and kikyo are the same person except for the difference in their personalities. so if he ends up with kagome, he’ll be with kikyo too, and if he ends up with kikyo he’ll be with kagome as well. it all works out =).

Geesh, after reading these comments I am surprised at the level hate you guys have. Come on guys, Kikyo is just an earlier incarnation of Kagome. Its like this, there is the soul, and there is the personality. The soul is eternal, it lives on from lifetime to lifetime, only the personalty is limited to one life. The personalty needs the Soul to give it life, thats why Kikyo has to have soul collectors to find “lost souls” to borrow for giving life to the Kikyo personality. Inuyasha is the fool to still be inlove with Kikyo, her soul is in Kagome, its only her personality that is left. If Inuyasha truly loved Kikyo, he’d let her go and get serious with Kagome.

Wow, this is funny, I suppose the show is best the way it is. kikyo serves her purpose as does kagome, together they cause the deep turmoil that inuyasha has to face and that the show thrives on. stop hatin, the entire show is amazing, and inuyasha rocks!!

Yes its Kikyo, its the sad truth. This is my 2nd time watching inuyasha, the holy one is Kikyo. She didnt die, ull find this out in episode 150 or 151

ok so to clear it up, this is why Kagome is better for Inuyasha than Kikyo:
If Naraku had tried the same thing on Inuyasha and Kagome, they wouldn’t have fell for it. Kagome would have known it wasn’t Inuyasha or would have thought he had some really good reason for doing what he did. She would’ve given him the benefit of the doube and not gone after him. Same with Inuyasha, he would have known it wasnt Kagome, or thought she was posessed or something. Hence why they belong together. so now everyone stop arguing. Kagome wins.
